Hugely enjoyable by John McSweeney (rated 9/10)
Our first visit to see our daughter at Manchester Uni and what a delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon celebrating her birthday. The food was excellent and the staff where friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. The house wine (both red and white) deserves a special mention as it was exceptional, both in taste and value, and considerably better than the "plonk" you often have to endure. Croma has a warm and inviting atmosphere which provides a hugely enjoyable eating experience which has a modest impact on the bank balance. I'm pretty sure we will be returning on a regular basis to enjoy the food, wine and hospitality.

Had a really good meal in the City centre Croma a few weeks ago. Good choice for vegetarians and not the usual boring stuff! Really want to try the canneloni with feta next time. Am really excited that they are opening a restaurant in Prestwich later in the year- can go for lunch! A good value great atmosphere after work dinner venue.

What a great place. Told about it by a friend who lives in Manchester. A kind of slightly up-market Pizza Express but with a more original menu and some excellent pizza toppings. It's busy. It's buzzy. But the service still manages to make the whole thing look effortless. Does tend to get full of city types at lunch-time but it's a fact that those in-the-know tend to get drawn to same type of places - and this is one of those places - so deal with it or try elsewhere
