Eze, Wilmslow's best kept secret, takes its name from the village near Monte Carlo, and offers Mediterranean cuisine in an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and unhurried. Brasserie Blanc (City Centre)
| 55 King Street, Manchester, M2 4LQ |
Tel: 0161 832 1000 |
|
A tad soulless, Le Petit Blanc is beset with a selection of niggles that prevent it from being an excellent restaurant. The service is a tad lacklustre and the décor isn’t really anything special, which is a shame as Le Petit Blanc has the potential to be a worthy adversary to Manchester’s star restaurants. The menu has a wide and varied selection of French and traditional dishes, all of which are commendable for their taste and presentation. Indeed, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you’ll receive. Sadly, Le Petit Blanc suffers the inevitable curses that accompany a chain restaurant – it’s a perfect location for a business lunch or a quiet meal, but there isn’t really anything here that makes you want to return. |
